Working in Melbourne -salaries realistic?

OK so I'm single, late 30s, and Median household income is $64,504, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,411 for rent here. Household incomes average around $64,504 in Melbourne. Average temperature is around 74--F, so it's warm year-round. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. Has anyone dealt with this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to.

Used to live on the East side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Bought a house here in 2016 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
