Melissa housing prices -when will it stop?

So, I'm a college student here and The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $137,875, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $430,300 on average. Household incomes average around $137,875 in Melissa. With a population of 17,497, Melissa is a small town. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Nice parks and trails
- Diverse community
- Strong sense of community

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Rising rent prices
- Limited nightlife
- Far from major airports
Is this normal for Melissa? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Midtown. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in construction. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

I work in retail here and the quality of life is solid. The job market for my field is better than expected. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
