Melville job market vs San Diego

First post here. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Homes are going for about $778,400 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Thoughts? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from LA about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is decent.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..
