The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Thoughts? Appreciate any input. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I've lived in Oak Park for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good airport with direct flights
- The traffic scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Dating scene is rough
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is tough in most areas.
