Moving to Mena with kids -good idea?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Homes are going for about $114,200 on average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Does this match your experience? Any help is appreciated.

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The weather is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The public transit is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

The food scene here is decent. Tons of great Vietnamese places. I love the pace of life here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in South. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in engineering. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
