Longtime lurker here, I'm a remote worker and The median home value here is around $504,100, which is pretty steep. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Let me know your thoughts.

The food scene here is tough. Tons of great Italian places. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Bought a house here in 2024 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a social worker who relocated here from Boston about 3 years ago. The main reasons were family and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Happy to answer more specific questions..
