Mequon is underrated, change my mind

OK so Military spouse here. The median home value here is around $485,300, which is pretty steep. With a population of 25,259, Mequon is a smaller city. The unemployment rate is 1.3%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Would love some local perspective. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.
