Mercer Island is underrated, change my mind

Hey folks, I grew up here but left for a while. Median household income is $202,359, which feels pretty solid for the area. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Lakewood. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in legal. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
