Household incomes average around $68,617 in Meriden. It's a a smaller city city with about 60,418 people. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Has anyone dealt with this?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in The Heights. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Italian.
