Just moved to Meriden, any tips?

Alright, My partner and I are Rent is about $1,243/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Does this match your experience? Appreciate any input. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.
