Housing market in Meridian — is it worth buying?
Median home value here is around $485,000. Prices are steep but there are pockets of affordability. For those renting, typical rent is $1714.
Is now a good time to buy in Meridian? Or better to keep renting?
Looking for opinions from both homeowners and renters.

I've lived in Pine Grove for 6 years and it's a hidden gem honestly.

The food scene here is seriously underrated. So many great restaurants.

The job market has been improving lately. Several healthcare companies moved in recently.

Coming from Atlanta, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are slightly more expensive but housing makes up for it.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Lakewood. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

Good summary. I'd rate it higher personally — maybe 9/10.

I'd add that healthcare options are better than most cities this size. Otherwise spot on!

I work in manufacturing and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 6 months.
