Is Meridian getting better or worse?

Hi all, I'm a teacher here and Household incomes average around $98,686 in Meridian. Homes are going for about $485,000 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What would you do? Thanks for reading. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons
- The community vibe scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
