Is Meridian good for remote workers?

I'm a 46-year-old data analyst and Average temperature is around 54°F, so expect cold winters. It's a a mid-size city city with about 125K people. Crime rate is something to consider — Meridian sits at 159.2 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. What are your go-to spots? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Lakewood. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in construction. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Korean.
