Best restaurants in Meridian?

Hey everyone, I'm a 52-year-old firefighter and It's a a smaller city city with about 34,466 people. Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. You can expect to pay around $865 for rent here. With a population of 34,466, Meridian is a smaller city. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've lived in Riverside for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Lots of new development happening
- The pet-friendliness scene is decent

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Oak Park area are excellent. Kids love it here.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Downtown for 7 years. Moved from Raleigh for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
consulting is strong here. marketing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Downtown schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not very walkable outside downtown. Far from beaches/mountains. And cost of living can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 9/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 8 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for school and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The dating scene is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Greenfield for 14 years. Moved from San Francisco for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is average - we have lakes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Summers can be brutally hot. Urban sprawl is real. And community vibe can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 6/10. Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
