How is the nightlife in Meridian?

Been meaning to ask this. Born and raised here. With a population of 34,466, Meridian is a smaller city. The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $100,800 on average. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I wrong here? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Riverside for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size
- The walkability scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Definitely worth checking out..
