Hello, Born and raised here. With a population of 10,268, Meridianville is a small town. The median home value here is around $271,800, which seems about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Meridianville sits at 781.9 per 100K. Homes are going for about $271,800 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What would you do? Thanks for reading. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in Downtown area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is pretty good in most areas.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a chef, 53, moved here 1 years ago from Minneapolis. I've lived in Eastside and South, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Good healthcare facilities
2. Decent public transit for the size
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally better than expected - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Urban sprawl is real
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The pet-friendliness situation is competitive and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Eastside: Great for remote workers. tough vibes, walkable.
- South: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Minneapolis, everything felt hit or miss. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $60K-$90K here.
**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
