Studio apartments in Merriam -options?

Hi all, We're a young couple and Median household income is $71,665, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Is this normal for Merriam?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Phoenix about 11 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Four distinct seasons
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is improving.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
