How is the nightlife in Merrifield?

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a 43-year-old social worker and Homes are going for about $637,600 on average. Poverty rate is 5.9%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Denver about 13 years ago. The main reasons were work and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is excellent.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Hope this helps!.
