Commute times in Merrillville -how bad?

Hey everyone, With a population of 36,343, Merrillville is a smaller city. The unemployment rate is 4.2%, which is about average. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The weather is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for retirement and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The housing market is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
