Best areas to explore in Merritt Island?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Denver about 7 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Lots of new development happening
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is challenging.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
