Anyone else feel this way? I've been here for 18 years and Crime rate is something to consider -Merrydale sits at 924.2 per 100K. Average temperature is around 67--F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $41,986 in Merrydale. Rent is about $1,187/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for weather and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The healthcare is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
