Mesa vs Napa — which is better to move to?

My partner and I are deciding between Mesa and Richmond for our next move. We care most about:
- Cost of living
- Safety
- Job market (finance)
- Outdoor activities

Anyone who's lived in either or both — which would you choose and why?

Moved here last year. No regrets. The local food is incredible.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Pine Grove. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

As someone who moved here from Phoenix, I can confirm most of this. The cost of living surprised me the most.

If you can afford it, Midtown is the best place to live. Period.

I'd add that the parks here are amazing for families. Otherwise spot on!

Downtown is overrated and overpriced. The suburbs offer way better value.

Check out the Maple Heights area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

I've lived in Southside for 9 years and it's a hidden gem honestly.

I've lived in Northside for 2 years and it's still one of the best decisions I made.
