Commute times in Mesquite -how bad?

Hey folks, Just moved here 7 months ago and Median household income is $74,439, which feels about average for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Should I be concerned? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Came here for retirement and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The traffic is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 7 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into running, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Meadowbrook side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
