Hey everyone, I'm a college student here and Average temperature is around 72°F, so it's warm year-round. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What do you all think? Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Sunset) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely better than expected and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Active local events and festivals
- The healthcare scene is tough
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Winters are long and cold
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'm a teacher and I've found it exceeded my expectations. The community is average and there's always something going on.
