Job hunting in Metairie — tips?

Been living here since 2013. Average temperature is around 72°F, so it's warm year-round. It's a a mid-size city city with about 139K people. You can expect to pay around $1,159 for rent here. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Thoughts? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is pretty good. Tons of great Italian places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
