Life in Metcalfe as a young professional

Hey folks, I work in automotive and The median home value here is around $79,500, which is actually reasonable. Median household income is $33,194, which feels on the lower side for the area. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Should I be concerned? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 7 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into running, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in East area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Moved here from San Francisco about 5 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to nightlife but Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for school and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The community vibe is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
