First post here. We have two kids and The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in West. It's underrated for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in consulting. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like craft beer.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I work in construction here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is better than expected. Feel free to reach out with questions..
