Best and worst neighborhoods in Metuchen

Hey everyone, The median home value here is around $565,400, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. With a population of 14,982, Metuchen is a small town. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Thanks! Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Meadowbrook area are challenging. Kids love it here.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The community vibe scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. No regrets on my end..
