Grocery stores in Mexia -recommendations?

Hello, Been living here since 2022. It's a a small town city with about 6,867 people. Median household income is $36,589, which feels on the lower side for the area. You can expect to pay around $786 for rent here. With a population of 6,867, Mexia is a small town. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Any advice would be great. I've lived in Lakewood for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- The job market scene is tough

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.
