Remote worker thinking about Meyers

Homes are going for about $572,200 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Meyers sits at 523.9 per 100K. With a population of 1,914, Meyers is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Am I wrong here? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Midtown for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons
- The walkability scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
