Not sure if this has been asked before, but Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. It's a a smaller city city with about 81,319 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Miami Beach sits at 924.2 per 100K. Rent is about $1,733/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What do you all think? Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much wild but now it's pretty good.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Miami it's solid.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Maple Ridge area are average. Kids love it here.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Springfield for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- The food scene scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Riverside for 8 years. Moved from Nashville for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is surprisingly good. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.
**Employment:**
construction is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is tough - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Riverside schools are excellent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Urban sprawl is real. Limited shopping options. And traffic can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 8/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
