Housing market in Miami — is it worth buying?

Median home value here is around $475,200. Prices are steep but there are pockets of affordability. For those renting, typical rent is $1657.

Is now a good time to buy in Miami? Or better to keep renting?

Looking for opinions from both homeowners and renters.

The food scene here is seriously underrated. So many great restaurants.

I've lived in Oakwood for 13 years and it's decent, has its pros and cons.

Check out the Old Town area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

Good summary. I'd rate it higher personally — maybe 6/10.

Rent tip: look for places in October-November. Prices drop and there's more availability.

If you can afford it, Midtown is the best place to live. Period.

Coming from San Francisco, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are slightly more expensive but housing makes up for it.

Don't sleep on Eastside. It's up and coming and still affordable.
