Is Miami Lakes a good place to live?

Curious what people think. My partner and I are Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. You can expect to pay around $2,024 for rent here. Homes are going for about $577,300 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Worth the trade-offs? Appreciate any input. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Maple Ridge. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in tech. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Definitely worth checking out..

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..
