Hey, I'm a teacher here and Poverty rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. Rent is about $2,024/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Anyone in a similar situation? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I work in tech here and I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market for my field is solid. No regrets on my end..

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The community vibe is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Came here for school and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The pet-friendliness is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
