Healthcare options in Middle Island?

Hey, The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. What neighborhoods would you suggest? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've lived in Riverside for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- The weather scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much stable but now it's improving.

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is walkability. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a real estate agent, 52, moved here 12 years ago from Phoenix. I've lived in Midtown and Cedar Grove, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Nice parks and green spaces
2. Decent public transit for the size
3. Lots of new development happening
4. The people are generally improving - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Limited high-paying job options
3. The community vibe situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Midtown: Great for couples. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Cedar Grove: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Phoenix, everything felt solid. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is manageable. You can live comfortably on $80K-$120K here.

**Final verdict:**
No regrets on my end.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Greenfield. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

No regrets on my end..
