Hey, I'm originally from Nashville and Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $1,639/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $74,198 in Middle River. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Should I be concerned? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The traffic is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value traffic, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely solid and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The weather is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The nightlife is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..
