OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Downtown. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like seafood.

No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much affordable but now it's improving.

I'm a sales manager and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Pine Hills. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

No regrets on my end..
