Middletown quality of life -am I missing something?
Longtime lurker here, I grew up here but left for a while. Crime rate is something to consider -Middletown sits at 312.9 per 100K. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a smaller city city with about 30,227 people. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Am I wrong here? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..
