Working in Middletown -salaries realistic?

Crime rate is something to consider -Middletown sits at 421.5 per 100K. Median household income is $54,985, which feels on the lower side for the area. Rent is about $974/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $974 for rent here. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Does this match your experience? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I've lived in Westside for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- The traffic scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.
