Working remotely from Middletown

We have two kids and Homes are going for about $148,300 on average. The median home value here is around $148,300, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 50,607, Middletown is a smaller city. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Thanks in advance! People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've lived in Sunset for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions
- The pet-friendliness scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..
