We're a young couple and Homes are going for about $192,400 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Let me know your thoughts. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I've lived in The Heights for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- The traffic scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
