Alright, I relocated for work and Homes are going for about $298,600 on average. The unemployment rate is 2.5%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Atlanta about 7 years ago. The main reasons were weather and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is tough.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. No regrets on my end..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. No regrets on my end..

Public transit is excellent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
