Is public transit usable in Midland?

Alright, The weather takes some getting used to. Thanks in advance! Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

The food scene here is tough. Tons of great craft beer places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Downtown. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in tech. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Hope this helps!.
