Best apartments in Midland under ?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a college student here and Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in Springfield area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Midtown. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

I'm a social worker and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.
