Anyone else love living in Midlothian?

Random thought, I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $200,300, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $1,202/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $67,872, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Midlothian sits at 145.5 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Close to nature
- Plenty of shopping options
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Sprawl everywhere
- High property taxes
- Boring for young people
- Mosquitoes and humidity
Am I wrong here? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is underrated in most areas.
