Hey folks, Rent is about $1,202/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $1,202 for rent here. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Does this match your experience? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I'm a marketing manager and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely solid and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (West) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Pine Hills area are tough. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.
I've been here 4 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
No regrets on my end..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Atlanta it's better than expected.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
