The good and bad of living in Midlothian

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and Rent is about $1,202/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $200,300, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $200,300 on average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Moved here from Atlanta about 8 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to healthcare but Good luck with whatever you decide..
