What to expect moving to Midlothian?

I grew up here but left for a while. Median household income is $105,927, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 1.2%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Midlothian sits at 578.6 per 100K. Household incomes average around $105,927 in Midlothian. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Should I be concerned? Cheers. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Fairview. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in tech. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
