How much do you pay for rent in Midway CDP (Santa Rosa County)?

OK so Rent is about $1,668/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 7.0%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $352,600, which seems about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Midway CDP (Santa Rosa County) sits at 32.3 per 100K. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Good schools
- Easy commute
- Walkable downtown
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Cold winters
- Rising rent prices
- High property taxes
- Boring for young people
The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. I've lived in Fairview for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The walkability scene is tough

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 11 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The dating scene is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- The healthcare scene is solid

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Dallas about 9 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Happy to answer more specific questions..

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much established but now it's tough.

I've lived in Eastside for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights
- The housing market scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
