Is Mifflinville still affordable?

So, It's a a small town city with about 1,191 people. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Denver about 3 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Happy to answer more specific questions..

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much affordable but now it's solid.

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great Thai places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to Charlotte it's pretty good.
